Mac Midgley Joins Lexington SC in Super League

Mac Midgley's Professional Soccer Journey Begins

Mac Midgley, who previously played college soccer at the University of Tennessee, has embarked on her professional career by signing with Lexington SC, a team in the Gainbridge Super League. This marks her first professional contract, solidifying her transition from collegiate to professional soccer.

Accomplishments During College

Midgley made significant contributions to the Tennessee soccer program from 2022 to 2025. Over her college career, she was recognized for her performance with several accolades, including being named to the Second-Team All-SEC, Second-Team All-Southeast Region, and Fourth-Team All-American as a senior. During her final season, she played 1,232 minutes and provided four assists.

Originally from Wolverine Lake, Michigan, Midgley was a consistent presence on the field, participating in 70 games with 56 starts. Her tenure at Tennessee saw her scoring eight goals, three of which were game-winning strikes. Additionally, she accumulated 10 assists and a total of 26 points, playing 4,298 minutes over her collegiate career.

Joining a Familiar Face at Lexington

At Lexington SC, Midgley will reunite with Ally Brown, another former Tennessee Lady Vol. Brown, who also enjoyed a successful soccer career at Tennessee, joined Lexington SC partway through the 2025-26 season. Her addition to the squad played a pivotal role in the team's league championship victory. Both Brown and Midgley were honored as Fourth-Team All-Americans during their time at Tennessee, making them the 11th and 12th players in the program's history to achieve All-America status.

The signing of Midgley adds to the growing number of Tennessee alumni who have progressed to professional soccer, highlighting the university's strong soccer program and its ability to develop players capable of competing at higher levels.
